In his article ‘Bright spots in Berlin housing construction - What happened to Urban Living?’, Florian Heilmeyer looks back on the Urban Living workshop process organised by the Senate Department in 2013 and summarises: "Eleven years have now passed. If you drive round the eight properties discussed at the time, you get mixed feelings. Not much seems to have come of the ‘steep pitch’.(...)"

Nevertheless, the article remains worth reading, as it outlines the history of Berlin's housing policy based on the process initiated by Senate Building Director Regula Lüscher in 2013 and compares current projects.
